- About us
We are a group of entrepreneurs, food bank leaders, philanthropists, doctors and business people who want to bring a world class food rescue system and other best practices to the hungry.
Through our experience with Leket-Israel’s national, non-religious food bank, which has been providing food assistance to more than 475,000 people weekly for over 20 years-we have seen how a dedicated team, combined with innovative technology, can efficiently and cost-effectively reduce food waste and reduce hunger.
Led by Mark Ettinger, MBA, a business leader and Leket board member, the Food Rescue Institute will build on and enhance the successful technology, operational best practices, and food rescue programs pioneered by Leket and other leading organizations.
We are seeking to raise $2 million to support the development of our technology and operational systems platform, translation and adaptation capabilities for local languages and regions, program implementation, staffing, and team development. This investment will enable us to create a scalable, sustainable solution that helps food rescue organizations maximize their impact and reduce hunger around the world.
